I love the factory Corvette Racing team and the things they can do with a big factory budget, but it's cool to read stories of the old privateer days.
I didn't realize that Corvettes had raced at Le Mans many years before the factory team started in 2000. I always knew about the Detroit ban on racing (and Ford ignoring it just to piss off Ferrari) and figured not much privateer racing made its way to Le Mans. I was wrong.
